It is possible to search in different fields according to the different levels present in the tool (Family, Patent, Trademark, Design and Other). 
This article lists these different fields and explains their organization.

 



Search in:

  • Families: The family level is available for all asset types (patent, trademark, design and other). This is the only level that allows you to search for all asset types. For example, it is possible to search for all assets associated with a family level tag (e.g. "Business Unit").
  • Inventions: This level allows to search in the fields available for inventions (pre-patenting stage). The search will only be done in the "Patents" tab.
  • Patents: This level allows to search in the patents' tags, bibliographic data, and family data. The search will only be done in the "Patents" tab.
  • Preparatory work for trademarks: This level allows to search in the fields available for preparatory work for trademarks (before the filing of a first trademark). The search will only be done in the "Trademark" tab.
  • Trademarks: This level allows to search in the trademarks' tags, bibliographic data, and family data. The search will only be done in the "Trademarks" tab.
  • Preparatory work for designs: This level allows to search in the fields available for preparatory work for designs (before the filing of a first design). The search will only be done in the "Designs" tab.
  • Designs: This level allows to search in the designs' tags and bibliographic data and the family data. The search will only be done in the "Designs" tab.
  • Other: This level allows to search in the "Others" tags and bibliographic data. The search will only be done in the "Others" tab.
