The status of an asset is implemented automatically and chronologically according to the bibliographic data that has been added. For example, if a registration number and date is added to a trademark, then the trademark 's status will automatically change to "Registered".


Changing the status of an asset must be done directly from the view of the asset concerned



Available statuses for patents (or utility model) and designs :

  • Filing is in progress
  • Protection Filed
  • Granted
  • Abandoned
  • Expired
  • Refused
  • Withdrawn

 

Available statuses for trademarks :

  • Filing is in progress
  • Protection Filed
  • Registered
  • Abandoned
  • Expired
  • Refused
  • Withdrawn
  • Ended

  

Scenarios for changing a status:

  • From "Filing is in progress" to "Protection filed": 
    • In "General information", simply add the "Filing information" (filing date/filing number are mandatory) data.


  • From "Protection filed" to "Granted" or "Registered": 
    • In "General information", you only need to add the "Grant information" or "Registration information" data (date and number are mandatory).
  • From any active status ("Filing is in progress", "Protection filed", "Granted" or "Registered") to "Abandoned", "Expired", "Refused" or "Withdrawn": 
    • Click on the option button (3 dots) and select "Abandoned".

  • From "Granted" or "Registered" to "Protection Filed": 
    • In "General information", click on "Registration information" or "Grant information", then click on "Reset information".
  • From "Protection Filed" to "Filing is in progress": 
    • In "General information", click on "Registration information" or "Grant information", then on "Reset information".
