For each jurisdiction, and depending on the status of the patent, the system lists the main events that may occur and provides an estimated date and cost for each.
As an example, you will find more a short description of the main planned events for a patent application or patent :
- Patent filing : Based on the filing date or application date depending on the patent type
- Search Report : Only for priority patent and based on application date
- Request in Exam : Based on each juridiction IP rules
- Office Action : Only planned if not granted, based on the filing date and available for certain offices only (CA, CN, EP, IL, IN, JP, KR, US, FR, PL, DE, ZA, BR and MX)
- Grant : Delay of grant has been calculated based on juridiction stats and it the delay is over then planned with a 6 months delay
- 12 months extension : Calculation based on the extension profiles
- 30 months extension : Calculation based on the extension profiles
- Renewal : Based on each juridiction IP rules

- Extension scenario profile can be customized in the ADMIN section named Extension profiles
The cost is calculated according to a customizable cost engine. The cost engine can customized by the client and is available in the "Admin" section (see Admin > Patent Law Engine for patents and TM Law Engine for trademarks).
The estimated cost is the sum of:
- Tax (If any) (Tax are stored in the local currency)
- Local Patent Attorney fee (customizable)
- Foreign Patent Attorney fee (customizable)
